OUR SERVICES
Miranda Schneider is a death doula and creative technologist. After 15 years managing complex digital campaigns for brands like NBC, Vox Media, and Columbia University, she founded Bainbridge Death Support to bring executive-level production skills to the end of life.
Fresh out of New York University’s engineering school, I entered the high-velocity world of mid-2010s digital media. I worked with top advertisers to deliver multimillion-dollar campaigns for brands and film studios, collaborating with first-generation ‘influencers’ and cultural icons alike. I later moved into the nonprofit sector as a digital strategist for the Columbia Global Reports imprint, launching more than 26 titles on underreported global topics—affectionately known as ‘those depressing little books from Columbia University.’
Working with institutions like PBS and NPR, my role was always the same: managing complex narratives to ensure extremely important stories were told, at all, and told correctly. I have worked with some of our time’s greatest authors and journalists, but my most meaningful work was building relationships with independent bookstore workers and readers worldwide.
When I returned home to Washington during the pandemic, I saw a direct parallel between my work as a creative and the important work happening in the death care industry. The way I see it, end-of-life is a complex chapter that can be treated like any other ‘launch’ event.
I founded Bainbridge Death Support to apply these specific creative thinking skills to the final chapter of life. I am a graduate of the Sacred Crossings Death Doula Intensive Training Program. Because this work is intimate and demanding, I maintain a capped client list to provide heirloom-quality service and undivided attention to the families I serve.
Miranda lives on Bainbridge Island's south end with her husband and baby son. Bear with her.

The vision for Bainbridge Death Support extends beyond individual client projects. We are building a centralized information hub ensuring that each and every family has access to resources for a good death on our little rock in the Salish sea.
Bainbridge Island is a fabulous place to live and to die. Our job is thinking about how to make it even better.
The Bainbridge Pet Trust is a specialized service for pet rehoming and emergency care.
This offering ensures that when an owner can no longer provide care, their animal never enters a shelter system. Instead, pets receive temporary, loving in-home care with a local family while we manage the logistics of a permanent, vetted rehoming. It is a guarantee of safety for them and peace of mind for you.
